Sudu Academy
Depuis 2025, Sudu Connexion organise des sessions de formation autofinancées consacrées à la distribution cinématographique dans les salles africaines. Le programme vise à renforcer les compétences locales et entrepreneuriales tout en favorisant la coopération panafricaine en faveur des films d'auteur, qui manquent cruellement d'opportunités commerciales sur le continent.
Since 2025, Sudu Connexion has been self-funded training sessions dedicated to film distribution in theaters across Africa: the Sudu Academy. The program aims to strengthen local and entrepreneurial skills while promoting pan-African cooperation in favor of auteur films, which sorely lack commercial opportunities on the continent.
1ere cohorte - Francophone
Experte en De février à juin 2025, 8 participants de 8 pays d'Afrique francophone (Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinée, Sénégal, Togo), ont participé à la formation en ligne à distance et piloté trois projections locales : Disco Afrika; une histoire malgache de Luck Razanajaona, Résistances - 8e saison du programme de courts-métrages Quartiers Lointains et Dahomey de Mati Diop.
From February to June 2025, 8 participants from 8 French-speaking countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Senegal, Togo) have participated to the training.
La session de pitch finale permettant de présenter un projet de distribution à l'année s'est tenue devant un jury professionnel composés de : Aristide Ka (Community Manager - Côte d'Ivoire), Gaston Kaboré (réalisateur, fondateur du Fonds Succès Cinéma - Burkina Faso), Alice Kharoubi (Festival de Cannes - France), Justin Kpatchaa (Traffic Manager - Togo), Moussa Roamba (producteur - Burkina Faso), Pascale Paulus (Experte en stratégie et business models - France), Safiou Tiega (attaché de presse - Bénin).
The final pitch session, during which participants presented their distribution plans for the year, was held before a professional jury composed of: Aristide Ka (Community Manager - Ivory Coast), Gaston Kaboré (director, founder of the Fonds Succès Cinéma - Burkina Faso), Alice Kharoubi (Cannes Film Festival - France), Justin Kpatchaa (Traffic Manager - Togo), Moussa Roamba (producer - Burkina Faso), Pascale Paulus (strategy and business model expert - France), and Safiou Tiega (press officer - Benin).
Les lauréats sont/ The recipients were: Amadou Woury Bah (Guinée), Fabrice Agbegnon (Togo) et Amandine Kassi (Côte d'Ivoire).
2nd cohort - English-speaking
From September to December 2025, the second English-speaking session (Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda) will be held online.
De septembre à décembre 2025, la deuxième session anglophone (Éthiopie, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Afrique du Sud, Tanzanie, Rwanda) se tiendra en ligne.
